Committee Chairs: Becky Mercier, Pat Vaughan and Brooke ThomasAs part of making our community better, the communications committee engages with both the public and club members through this website and Facebook. These media provide examples of projects that benefit the community and support literacy development. Also, the committee provides printed materials such as brochures, business cards, and project boards to get the word out about our club.
As a club, we communicate with our membership through emails, at club meetings, and a calendar of upcoming events. The committee publishes a member directory (yearbook), monthly newsletter, “The Focus,” to update members about past activities and upcoming community events. Additionally, the committee preserves the club’s history by archiving important documents and sharing information about the formation, goals, and growth of the Lexington club, District Six, and Altrusa International with members and the public.
