What We Do...
Altrusa is an international non-profit organization
making our local communities better through
leadership, partnership and services.
Altrusa is derived from the word altruism which means
to give unselfishly to the welfare of others.
Altrusa offers a unique opportunity to make Lexington a better community in which to live by assessing the needs of the community and striving to meet that ever-changing landscape.
The Lexington Club functions with a board of directors, a strong committee system and monthly membership meetings allowing every member to be personally involved in club projects and decisions.
We meet on the third Thursday of each month at the Spring Valley Golf / Country Club located at 2300 Sandersville Road in Lexington. Socialization and sign in begins at 5:30 pm with the meeting staring at 6:00 pm. Each meeting is packed with food, fun, facts and a special quest.
NEXT MEETING: November 15, 2018
SERVICE BASKET: November basket will benefit the veteran residents of Thompson Hood long-term care facility. Items: Little Debbie Snack Cakes; bars of Dove soap; Bluegrass or Gospel CD's; large # alarm clocks; AA or AAA batteries; and gift cards for Walmart, Amazon, or Hobby Lobby.
